Associate Vice President
James F. ‘Jamie’ Kosik, MPA, Associate Vice President of Facilities and Services graduated from Fairmont State College (now University - FSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration minoring in Biology, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from West Virginia University (WVU).
Jamie began his career at Fairmont General Hospital in January 1991 with an Administrative Internship. He was hired as the Director of Safety and Security in November 1991, and then appointed to Director of Facilities, Planning and Maintenance at FGH in January 1996. During his tenure at FGH, Jamie was responsible for many improvements to the facility. In addition, as a result of his experience in healthcare, Jamie is an ardent supporter of world class customer service and employee empowerment. In March of 2016, Jamie decided to make a career change to academia and became the Director of Facilities at the Health Sciences Center at WVU. During this time, Jamie has embraced the Mountaineer values of Service, Curiosity, Respect, Accountability, and Appreciation.
Jamie is a native of Fairmont, West Virginia and enjoys many outdoor activities, specifically hunting and fishing. Jamie is married and has three children who all reside in Fairmont.
